At CalmWeatherWay, we recognize that your plans may change and we are committed to ensuring our refund policy is clear and equitable. This policy specifies the conditions which refunds are granted for our yacht rental services.
We ask that you read the following policy thoroughly prior to booking a yacht. Your booking is an acknowledgment and agreement to these refund conditions.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Prior to Charter
Qualification for: Total refund minus administrative fees
Refund Processing Duration: Within 5-7 business days
Administrative Charge: €50 for credit card operations
Requirements: Must be submitted via email or contact phone
Between 72 and 24 Hours Prior to Charter
Qualification for: Half the total cost of the yacht charter
Refund Processing Duration: 7-10 business days
Administrative Charge: €25 subtracted from the refund amount
Requirements: A justifiable reason is necessary; subject to operative expenditures
Less Than 24 Hours Prior to Charter
Qualification for: No refunds offered
Exception: Emergency cases may be considered
Alternative: Charter credit might be given at the discretion of the management
Requirements: Proof needed for emergencies
Cancellations Due to Weather
Our Weather Guarantee
Your safety is our utmost concern. Should the weather be judged unsafe for sailing by our qualified captain, we have the following flexible solutions:
- Total Refund: Offered if rescheduling isn’t feasible
- Rescheduling: Shift your yacht rental to an alternate date at no extra fee
- Yacht Rental Credit: Obtain a credit valid for one year from the initial date of the yacht hire
Assessment of Weather Conditions
We assess the weather based on the following criteria:
- Analyzing wind velocities and orientation
- Evaluating wave heights and conditions at sea
- Forecasts for visibility and precipitation
- Warnings and advisories from the Coast Guard
- Judgement on safety from the professional captain
Timeline for Decisions: Calls on weather-related cancellations are made no later than 4 hours ahead of the scheduled departure time.
Refunds for Medical Emergencies
Consideration for Emergencies
We empathize that medical urgencies can arise unexpectedly. Circumstances that may be given special consideration include:
- Sudden medical conditions or injuries leading to hospital admittance
- Loss within the immediate family members
- Compulsory military assignment or recall
- Jury service or legal obligations
- Natural disasters impacting travel plans
Needed Documentation
For medical emergency-related refund petitions, kindly provide:
- A doctor’s certification or hospital reports
- A death notice, if pertinent
- Formal military commands
- Legal summons or notices for jury service
- Official travel cautions or declarations of emergencies
Refund Processing: Requests given emergency consideration are handled within 3-5 business days after we receive all necessary documents.
Cancellations Due to Operational Issues
Mechanical Failures
In the event that the yacht assigned to you suffers mechanical issues that cannot be fixed promptly:
- Alternative Yacht: We'll endeavor to supply a comparable substitute
- Full Reimbursement: Offered when no adequate alternative is available
- Partial Reimbursement: Granted when the substitute yacht has a different pricing
- Compensation: Additional recompense may be provided for the inconvenience
Non-Availability of Crew
In rare instances where a licensed crew is not available:
- A substitute crew will be sought when feasible
- Full reimbursement if the yacht rental cannot proceed
- Opportunity to reschedule with no extra charges
Processing of Refunds
Method of Refund
Reimbursements are reverted back to the original method of payment used for securing the booking:
- Credit Cards: Processed within 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers: Processed within 7-10 business days
- Cash/Check: Processed within 3-5 business days
Administrative Charges
Credit Card Transactions
€50 charge for cancellations more than three days in advance
Bank Transfer Transactions
€25 charge for all bank transfer reimbursements
International Transactions
Extra fees might be charged for international transactions
Credits for Yacht Rental
Issuance of Credits
Under particular conditions, yacht rental credits might be offered instead of reimbursements:
- Late rescindments (under 24 hours notice)
- Cancellations on account of weather
- Voluntary rescheduling submissions
- Operational disruptions
Credit Stipulations
- Validity: Valid for a duration of 12 months from issuance
- Transferability: Cannot be transferred to others
- Value: Equates to the total value of the yacht rental (exempt from administrative fees)
- Applicability: Applicable to any yacht rental available
- Expiration: Will not be extended past a year
Reimbursements for Partial Services
Service Disruptions
If the yacht hire is cut short or disturbed due to factors we can control:
- Refund personalized based on the segment of service not used
- A voucher for a future yacht hire of equivalent worth
- Complimentary amenities or bonuses
Interruptions Related to Guests
If a yacht hire is concluded earlier due to guests’ misbehavior or breaches of safety guidelines:
- No refund for the time remaining
- Full payment is still required
- Additional fees might be imposed
Resolving Disputes
If there is a disagreement regarding the outcome of a refund application, you are welcome to:
- Request an evaluation from our leadership
- Supply extra documents or proof
- Consult consumer protection bodies
- Seek judicial remedies as per applicable laws

Ensure to include the following in your refund request:
- Your confirmation code for the booking
- Date and time of the yacht booking
- Your reason for rescinding the booking
- Any supporting documents, if relevant
- How you wish to receive your refund
Step 3: Confirmation and Handling
You will receive an acknowledgment from our team within a day, a careful review of your request in line with our policy within two days, and, if approved, refunds processed as stated prior.

- Reimbursements are processed in € even if a different currency was used for payment
- We highly endorse obtaining travel insurance
- This policy is subject to amendments with a notice period of one month
